Services we offer...
1. Build a website
I can design and build you a website for a cheap price. Most people want something pretty basic. My websites have been designed for a specific look. I can design websites that look completely different. All of my websites were mainly designed to attract the urban hip hop crowd. So they might appeal to some people. That doesn't mean that I cannot create website that look and feel very different. I can typically design and build a website in about a week. It will depend on the amount of communication I have with the customer. I will need info and maybe images or links. Basically any info you want on your site i will need you to provide me.
2. Build a Phone app
I can build a phone app for the Google Play Store. It might take a week or longer. In most cases you will need a website to be built first. In that case I can build a website for you. If you already a website I can still build just an app for your website. if you want to check out some of the apps I have designed you can go to my developer account on the Google Play Store by searching MySwitchPort.com and scrolling down to the developer link. I am still working on getting a few kinks out of my current apps and trying to perfect them. Yours might look different. The app building process is pretty much same as the website. Communication is key for getting the info needed for the app.
3. Speed Issues?
Does your computer run slow all of the time even when not browsing the internet? this could be caused by many issues. This will be a question we ask before moving forward. The speed of your PC and the speed of your internet is 2 different issues. We can check this out. Worst case scenario is that your PC might be getting too old and it may be time for a new machine. You might also be only be able to get what your internet service provider is offering you. We can check to see if there is anything that YOU can do to increase your speeds by spending as little as possible.
4. Trouble installing an application?
Installing programs can be a bit tricky. You might have even installed the program already and are having trouble locating it. When installing programs, it is good to know the website that you went to for the download as you might have downloaded an altered copy of the program that has a virus installed on it. There could be an issue with your computer hardware. You might need a 32-bit copy of the program instead of the 64-bit. There are many reasons that you can run into, and we would love to try and troubleshoot some of these issues with you.
5. Need help uninstalling applications?
Some applications can be tricky to install. Sometimes even after you uninstall them, they won't be completely removed from your machine. If a program is giving you trouble being deleted from your computer this could be a sign that it is a virus or malware. You might need to run a check and make sure that your machine and information are safe. Some programs also leave program files left on your computer even after the main program has been deleted. This can be a hassle especially if your are trying re-install an application to start fresh.
6. Malware issues?
This might save you some time and money. We do not have our own Anti-Malware software. You can download it now from Malware bytes and run it yourself for free. It is a well known malware remover. If you would prefer us to install it and run it, we would love to help. It is very easy to install and set up. You can try this on your own and if you still need help feel free to contact us. We can also help with the Windows "built-in" Firewall and security settings. Windows 10 does have a built-in anti-virus as well. Now that Windows 11 is out since it is pretty new we can try to look into fixing what ever issues you are having. In most cases its a quick Google search. If you don't feel comfortable messing with these settings we can research it first.
7. Running low on memory?
Memory is one of the cheapest upgrades that you can easily install most likely by yourself. We can check to see if you're running low on memory and if you could possibly just have too many unused apps running in the background. Deleting unused apps is a great place to start since some apps can use too much memory on apps that you do not even use or need anymore. A misconception is the difference between memory and storage. Your memory and storage are two different things. To make it simple as possible. The storage is where you save your documents. The memory is where anything currently running is stored. when you turn off the computer the memory is whipped clean.
8. Basic setup and customization?
We can customize windows for you so that it is set up to make your computer easier to use and even look nicer. We have over 900 custom icons. You might wonder why you would do this? Well if you sit at your computer for over 8 hours a day, you might want it to look nice, and the custom Icons can be really handy when it comes to remembering which folder has what you are looking for in it. All of our custom icons are copy right free and came mostly from android devices so you are probably familiar with most of them. You can go straight to our free download tab and download them your self and start using them if you know how to.
9. Most Common Network Issues.
Network issues seem to be very common. From wired connections to wireless. The internet connects everything and everything these days just about needs the internet. If you have a device that is having problems connecting to a network give us a call. or shoot us an email. A tip I have learned from working for an internet Service provider is that the first thing we always have our customers try is "power cycling" the modem or device. If you haven't done this yet I would say that this is the first thing you should try. The next thing would be check all the cables. For basic trouble shooting that you can do on your own or to know the questions that any tech would ask you before the call you can go to the "Trouble -Shooting" tab and start there.
We do ask that for these services you be present at your PC so that you can help us troubleshoot some of these issues. Sometimes the computer may need to be restarted where we would lose connection and would need a new password to gain access to your computer. The password to give us to access your computer with TeamViewer is only good for 1 session so if the computer reboots we will lose connection and need a new password which is why we request that you be present.
This is just a short list of common issues with computers. If your tech issues are not listed, do not worry.
